There’s at least one thing I’m pretty sure we can all agree on (even in today’s extremely divided world):
The sun exists.
Yeah, it sounds kind of silly. Who in the world is going to deny the existence of the sun? Probably not many!
But when it comes to God, many people struggle to believe that He is real or that He is good. After all, just look at this past year. Why would a good God allow so much tragedy and pain to devastate the entire world?
I don’t have all of the answers, but I know that just because we might struggle to see why God would allow certain things doesn’t mean that He doesn’t have a reason.
Do you doubt the sun’s existence after it sets at night and the sky becomes dark? No.
Even in the dark, there is proof that the sun exists. It’s called the moon!
Even when we can’t see it, we know the sun is still there because the moon is reflecting it’s light. And in the same way, even when we can’t see or understand God, we can see evidence of Him and His goodness all around us.
A sunrise, a rainbow, snowflakes, a child’s smile. It’s all evidence of a Creator. A Creator who loves us even when we doubt His existence. A Creator who just wants us to look for Him in everything, and He promises that when we look for Him, we will find Him.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
